Unfortunately, very bad colorizing distracts from the movie. This is a good one in B&W.

If you haven’t watched the pre-code movies you are missing out! The clothes they wear and the racey subject matter is a bit risqué! When the actors could really act, sing and dance! Just look up pre-code hollywood movies!

I hate the adverts coming on EVERY 5 minutes & after each set of adverts the subtitles come on again, In the end I gave up , downloaded it & watched it from my hard drive

This movie was remade a few times over the years.
I have a hard time watching the ending of this film, with the band painted in black face. I don't get it… If they we're so impressed with black people that they had to imitate them. Why didn't they hire a black band, and why segregate them. When I first saw the band my first thought was how sad was it to segregate them. Then what's with their mouth that looks so unnatural. We have a sad past. Now with Humpty Dumpty in the White House we're not segregating black people where segregating brown people. They say they don't want a communist country but that's what they're trying to do. By dismantling our country then racially profiling.

I watched "The Lady Vanished " last night,and tonight I get to enjoy this masterpiece…I am enjoying this new found hobby of mine.
image stabilization makes me queasy and my eyes ache if I watch it for too long. Whoever invented that filter certainly didn't intend it for use with anything other than a static single color background. Used on a movie like this it makes the picture unwatchable to all but navy personnel
