Obviously, no German battlecruiser ever made it into the Indian Ocean. The Blücher wasn't even a battlecruiser and needless to say, she never made it to the Indian Ocean.
Also, considering the time this film was shot, those elephants dropping were actual elephants being killed for this movie. CGI was not a thing back then. Also, there are no elephants on Zanzibar and the Germans did not control Zanzibar at any time.
It is fake but hate the killing
Was für ein Drecksfilm so viele Tote Elefanten….
Really getting to where the needless killing of animals is feels more and more repulsive,
even if it is fake.
The main problem with this movie is – the supposedly good guys are dumb as a box of rocks, keep repeating the same mistakes, and layer on new mistakes. Disappointing, this could have been a far better film. Instead it was annoying.
Thank you @CultCinemaClassics for posting this movie.
Watching it took me back to the ages of innocence. Please post "Lion of the Desert" and "The Boys from Brazil"? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
A classic! It takes me back to my childhood. How we watched VHS movies, and the world,
Great old movie. Lee Marvin was a WWII Marine scout sniper. Always great in the movies. Semper Fi. Rest in Power, marine.
Let down by the unconvincing artificial crocodile, otherwise a brilliant movie.
Most of the countryside filled with gorges is NOT southern Tanzania and the Rufiji River is teeming with crocodiles so the choice of venue for the film is somewhat misleading.
Cruel weird comedy
I stopped watching when they started killing elephants…not my line
Great movie but I think they over did Marvins drinking.
Excellent film – Wilbur Smith classic
Not bad. Tanks alot 😊😊😊
Good movie,great actors!!!!
Hollywood lost the ability to make good films like this decades ago.
Today it's all formulaic flicks that promote the Globalist agenda. At least there was some grit and realism here.
Thank you.
– Mda !!!
Foarte realist prezentată "GRANDOAREA" COLONIALISMULUI BRITANIC………atrocitățile prezentate ca "ACTE DE BRAVURĂ" ……..
no white men hurt in the making of this movie

And wath scumbags to shoot such a majestic animal as an elephant😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 in real life

Lee Marwin was so drunk that Moore was afraid he would drop the baby
This is better than his Bond movies.
