    Wonder what the mood was in, both, the Studios and the post WWII movie going public.
    Did the audience want to be entertained by edgy movies, in an uncertain world after 6 long years of a global conflict?
    Were the Studios excited to explore more dark content, in the aftermath of a brutal conflict, and not just entertain with a distractionary movie, to numb the pain of the War?
