After the mysterious demise of one of the three scientists on the base, the main character is sent out to replace him. Haha! Good movie! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅😊😊😊😊
So boring
It’s been so long since I’ve seen this version. Clooney was in one American version. I didn’t remember this much
It's interesting that people compare this to 2001: A Space Odyssey. Yet Tarkovsky himself hated that movie.
It's pointless, is the message. We are not the first. We are not the smartest. We need to learn to tolerate each other, or else driving through central Tokyo really is worth all that film.
wow, incredible film
Three Solaris.
The viewer participates by their realization of what is happening. Its the realization that is so powerful in this film. And the protagonist is his wife. (Don't read that wrong) I'd say more about what is happening but that's for people who have seen it..
Easily one of the most profound endings I've ever seen.
Berton, not Burton.
Much more profound and fascinating than Stanley Kubrick 2001
Chris did not return to Earth. The Ocean took his soul and gave him peace. And I also think that EVERYONE who was at the station except Gibaryan was not human. Gibaryan realized this and therefore shot himself. And in the end Chris realized it too
The most intense movie I have ever watched. This is masterpiece of a work and the greatest one handsdown
Love the fact that at one point we are watching a film in which people watch a film showing people watching a film showing… nothing.
Comparing This to Kubricks movie is stupid…..this is a great movie and story but its waaaaay inferior visually and visionarily to 2001…..but its still a great movie and very original.Tarkovsky was not technical he did with what he could.
great
I regret that no mention was made of the Polish author of the novel Solaris, Stanisław Lem
Just to be short, – you reap what you sow… And there is more sense than you used to think. If we convert this proverb to the inner space of human existence and psychology, we can witness one interesting fact, – once you've put your attention to any mental image, this image would stay with you forever. All of us make golems everyday hundreds of times. They live with us, they live instead of us.. think about.
Peace!

I don't know what the guidelines mean since I don't speak Russian.
Like a long hike into an unknown forest. Not at all like an express train from point A to point B. ….If you're O.K. with this, you'll feel a deeper meaning. …If not, you'll want to jump ship. See the film before any reviews. Find your own way through this forest.
genial!
For me personally, this is such a stunning and frank film that I simply do not have words to describe my admiration for it. )🎬 I’ve watched it a million times and will watch it again just as many times. I'm still discovering something new in this film. None of us can escape our own Solaris. Solaris… It is inside each of us. I am grateful to all the Creators of this Masterpiece of World Science Fiction today. 🎓 ✨ 🎥
The actress who plays Hari makes all the others seem ordinary
This film makes the USSR look very chic. Now that's a major accomplishment accomplishment.
Good movie I saw it in the movie theater while an undergrad. It needs a BIG screen. DO not watch it on a damned laptop!
