Chelsea is an American visiting England for work. While inspecting an old estate for its real estate potential, she notices some strange lights in the supposed unoccupied building. She discovers a „portal” of sorts that shows her the past (end of 1700s) and the dashing owner of the old Georgian estate. When an accident occurs, the gentleman (Charles) comes through and gets stuck in the present day. Chelsea and Charles fall in love but Charles is distraught to see his estate is uncared for and going to be sold off or demolished. The two try to save it but it might take some great sacrifices now and in the past to pull it off.

Director: Brian Brough
Writer: David Gray, Brittany Wiscombe
Cast: Aubrey Reynolds (Secrets in the Snow, Hot Chocolate Holiday, Love’s Portrait), Toby-Alexander Smith (Krypton, Berlin Station, EastEnders)

  2. Lighting and camera work is amateur but at least not overly fake acting? Even if the script about basketball and the shock of the year is unbelievable

  3. Hi there, would it be possible to get Closed Caption for this movie? I have some auditory processing issues, and those help a lot when watching a movie. Thanks!

  4. This is such a cozy movie. I love action flicks as much as the next person, but sometimes you just want a wholesome change of pace.

  5. Just like everyone, came here watching a short clip of this movie😅 but truly its so refreshing from all the new movies around this time… Its truly good🥰 feels like i have read some fairy tale… Rather than a movie it felt more like a play (with the way actors behave and speak) even felt goosebumps and my mind feels calm and at Peace… No dramas… Just pure moments 🥰 loved this one…

  6. Love this movie, as I love all the time travel movies, shame we didn’t see the reaction of the red haired caretaker when he returned back, at the end! ❤❤❤❤❤

  7. Such a lovely movie with a different twist on time travel. WARNING: SPOILER ALERT: I could not help thinking about how they were going to get Charles proper identification and thus be able to properly marry Chelsea so that she could become a citizen of the UK, as well as allow him to fly. I am guessing they would need to employ the services of J. Jenks or The Talamasca.

  8. Charles Barkley, the fifth. . Oh my this kind of man. Hope i found that kind of man who fight for me and wanted to stay with me.

  9. Would he have fallen in love with any woman who was at the mirror? (She’s the first and only woman he met from the future but the protagonist is a fairly average person in personality most modern woman sharing her views and humor and likeness so technically I think he would’ve fallen in love no matter who it was (there are exceptions of course but you get the jist)

  10. Is this movie based on some fanfiction? I swear I read the storyline in a Twilight Fandiction few months ago (though it was probably few years old, I can't remember properly), the only difference was in the fanfiction the heroin decided to went back in time. I don't mean any offense, just curious.

  11. Honest review: The story is decent. The plot is good. The dialogue is pretty basic and often unnatural. Lots of leading questions and vague answers to create artificial complications and confusion.

The characters are inoffensive and one-dimensional. They don't feel like real people.

The acting has no range. Scenes that otherwise would have been exciting were pretty boring.

To each their own, but ive seen better from lower budgets.

  12. Esta película es una mezcla del encanto y la magia de los libros de Jane Austen y la realidad de nuestros días…. Sólo me tocó suspirar. Simplemente hermosa!!!! Me enamoré.

  13. I love how they paid attention to even the smallest details, like how the way of talking and expressing oneself has changed over the years
