This show set the television prototype for later programs such as The Time Tunnel and the early William Hartnell, Dr. Who series. Every week Captain Z-Ro and his assistant Jet would observe world events and travel through time to help historical figures.

The entire series of Captain Z-Ro fell into the public domain in 1978 due to lack of copyright renewal. Check our listings for other episodes.

  1. A nice show that should have been done in color and the kaleidoscopic part would definitely have popped as well the whole show which holds up and was obviously real Cool and exciting in the mid 50's etc. Love the Futuristic Models sets! And the viewing screen almost having todays viewing aspect ratio!  and transporter time machine booth and seeing how they had to have the viewing screen show the real footage of what they were looking at shows they had to do some innovative work back then to make it work. So that's why its a shame it wasn't color. So Don't forget this was generally geared for youth and or family viewing!

  2. I find it funny how these old sci-fi movies play such a big role in our reality. Especially when you realize that we have a time machine in Area 51 which does this exact same thing of looking into the future so that they can plan on how to make it work for them. Such as finding out just who is going to win a certain election and which swing states could be altered to change that future into one that benefits their agenda. Like placing a certain Bush family member into that equation.

  3. That robot violated the 1st Law of Robotics… A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. The robot 'harmed' the two priests when he ganked their heads together…..
