Great selection! I saw most of these movies. James Whitmore was a pretty good actor. I liked him in the Twilight Zone episode "On Tuesday We Leave For Home", and he may have been in the episode "The Man in the Cave". He definitely starred in some classic TV. Matheson wrote episodes for the Twilight Zone which aired mostly in the early 1960s. Another good 60s SciFi show was the Outer Limits.
😂❤❤❤❤❤
This list would make a helluva bungs watch on a cold wintery weekend.
The first "Star Trek" pilot stole liberally from "Forbidden Planet".
'The Incredible Shrinking Man' final minute is a spiritual experience to me. Facing the Infinite-Void is like meeting God.
All the films on this list are favorites I watch again and again. The films from back then still hold up and are magical.
I traveled to Altar 4 in 1966….and have been hooked on sci Fi ever since….😮
Your choice of SciFi movies of the 50's is great-all of them classics in themselves.
You forgot the movie with the extra terrestrial children with white air and terrible destructive power to read humans mind, born suddently in a small US town ..I forgot the name of the movie ..it might be " the village of the damned"
"They live".
Saluti.
Missed the best ufo invasion movie ever. Written and produced by pioneering ufo investigator and ex carrear marine/ naval aviator DONALD KEHOE who used his military credentials to get the latest scoop on ufo activity from various branches of the military and wrote about it in very interesting books about the ufo subject starting in the eairly 50's.
The movie:– EARTH VS. THE FLYING
SAUCERS 👍🎯
🕳😩🛸😭🤖😱👽😢🚏😲👾😮
"Five" (1951) should be on this list. It was the first post apocalyptic story and it still packs a punch.
Great picks
What a bunch of BS!!! You give "Forbidden Planet" way too much credit!!! Claiming there would be NO "Star Trek" or "2001" or "Alien". Total nonsense!!! That's like saying nobody had any imagination before the 1950's. Comic book writers were creating all this stuff BEFORE Forbidden Planet!!! They made not have been in Hollywood and may not have had the money to see their projects on the "Big Screen". But, that was a totally stupid statement. No Star Trek! Barf!!!!
great choices!!!
I love all these movies, but you forgot a sleeper, GOG.
Day the Earth Stood Still was the first adult sci-fi movie.
Excellent choices. They’re not simply the best of the 50s, they’re some of the best ever.
"I Married A Monster From Outer Space". The title sounds cheesy, but it's a pretty darn good movie.
Toute ma jeunesse
I absolutely love all these movies, would add Time Machine, The Angry Red Planet, First Men on the Moon…… loved them all growing up.
Except for Plan 9, I’ve seen all the others and prefer them over many other sci fi movies of later years.
Great movies !!!
I watched almost all of them when I was a kid and they surprised me. Amazing.
Dieses KI Gestammel furchtbar
Loved all of them but my favorite has to be "Forbidden Planet" an honorable mention the very underrated "I Married a Monster From Outer Space"
O m g !!! I love Sci Fi, Asimov my hero, chsnged my life* this roumdup of 50s films has me anxious to find & see ALL of them !! What a gr8 & fabulous post!!! Thank you !!
All these films(movies) are masterpieces of the Seven Art.
👏👏👏👏👏👏

I RECOMMEND ALL OF THEM
The special effects on "This Island Earth" were impressive, but the script was so ridiculous that it undid them.
Forbidden Planet is the greatest Sci-Fi movie scenario ever written.
The John Carpenter, Thing From Another World remake was no more than an overly graphic, expletive filled mess. Horrible remake
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea has nothing to do with science fiction.
👏👏👏😶🌫
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
0:43. That I call a movie that has meaning behind, not today’s rubbish movies.
2:28. That’s one of my fave old movies. In the first time I watched it, it was eery and wonderful at the same time.
12:26. That’s one of classic sci-fi film. That reminds me what it’ll happen on Earth.
The rest the films has more realistic motions, and it took bit of time for us to adsorb story and understand the reasons of the stories.
While the remake of the Thing is closer to the book. My favorite will always be Howard Hocks.
The Fly, the movie is one of the movies I've seen that is so faithful to the book. I appreciated that.
BOM TRABALHO BOM DIA
